Wade & Jordan Conquer the Wales Marathon in Support of Merle’s Wish

On Sunday, 29th June, in sweltering heat exceeding 30°C, Wade Davies and Jordan Morris achieved something truly remarkable — completing the Wales Marathon, widely known as one of the toughest and most elite marathons in the UK.

This wasn’t just a physical challenge. It was a heartfelt mission.

Wade, Merle’s son, and Jordan, her grandson, ran the full 26.2 miles in honour of Merle and to raise vital funds for Merle’s Wish — our charity that supports people who are battling cancer alone, providing both financial and emotional support when it’s needed most.

Running in such oppressive heat would test even seasoned athletes, yet Wade and Jordan showed extraordinary grit and determination. Their finish wasn't just a personal victory; it was a powerful act of love, remembrance, and hope.

So far, they have raised nearly £1,600, and every penny goes directly towards helping those navigating cancer without a support system. This funding will help pay for essentials, counselling, transport, and other vital needs that are so often overlooked.

We’re incredibly proud of Wade and Jordan — not just for finishing such a gruelling marathon, but for turning their pain into purpose. Their dedication means the world to us and, more importantly, to those we serve.
